Welcome!

Welcome to all Fox 2/23 families! I am so glad you have found this blog site. This site is for you, the families of the Salt Lake City 2/23 Fox company Marines and Sailors.

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Rachel Abelson. I am the Key Volunteer coordinator for the SLC group of 2/23 Fox Company. What in the world is a Key Volunteer, you ask? Key Volunteers(KVs as I will refer to them) are a group of volunteers whose spouse, son, or daughter is a Marine. We are an information and referral service. You have a problem while your spouse, son, or daughter is deployed; call your KV and we can help you get the answer or tell you where to get help. We are here to keep you informed while your loved one is deployed. We have a phone tree for all families in the unit and make calls about once a month to pass any necessary information. Sound like something you might like to do? Just let me know and I'd love to have you in our group!!!

About this blog:
I will regularly post information that I think will be helpful to you, as well as plenty of fun stuff. I will post about our happenings, get togethers, and plenty of pictures. If you have pictures to share for or of your Marine or Sailor, let me know and I will get them up. If there is something you would like to see posted, email me and I'll get on it!

How to reach me:
The easiest way to reach me is via email. I check it multiple times a day. The email address is:
keyvolunteer223@gmail.com

I hope you find this blog helpful and enjoyable!
